It’s the Friday before a long weekend: may you have enough ice.
A few things I wanted to share:
Farm Sanctuary’s Orland, California shelter has let some sheep just be sheep, as they should be. And it’s a sweet thing. (Farmsanctuary.org)
Be a trailblazer and a world changer: reserve a table at the Bistro in Vitro, Dutch artist Koert van Mensvoort’s virtual restaurant where no animals were harmed in the production of the food. Foie gras with no gavage – because there’s no goose. I’ll have the Petri slider with a side of animal-style fries, please. (npr.org)
For all of us who turn away from the graphic farm factory footage, Geraldin Pena made an animated short that’s easy to watch, and there’s definitely a moral to the story.
Happy Trails, Friends, until we meet again…
